Salam..
As an optometry student, headache would be a very familiar aspect in our study. Basically you can tell the type of headache based on its location, onset, frequency and severity. The process of classifying the headache in regards to those aspects is called differential diagnosis. It's very important to diagnose what has really caused the headache in order to determine whether the patient needs further referral or maybe just a self treatment.
I'm not gonna list down every single type of headache I've learnt. I'm just writing this since I'm currently having a constant head pain on the temporal side and around the eyes. The pain usually begins at the end of the day, probably because I've already worn out by that time. I would usually avoid any pain relief like paracetamol or ibuprofen as long as I can still get hold onto the pain. Nothing would be helping at that moment rather than lying in the dark room. Honestly, I have no idea what could be the best possible type of headache it is but looking at the symptoms I have, it might be a migraine or asthenopia (headache due to the uncorrected refractive error).
Just now in the evening I had an eye examination at the eye clinic and I kind sort of complaining of my headache. Since my field of view and the intraocular pressure were absolutely fine, the supervisor could only suggest it might be due to the under corrected refractive error because my current spectacle itself is not to the latest prescription. For that case and at the same time using the benefit of an optom student to get a 40% discount, I ordered a new pair of glasses (heheheh). Anyhow, if the symptoms persist, she'd like me to see the GP for a confirmation.
That's it for the headache... and below is a different story :)
Last night, we went to Leeds to celebrate one of our usrahmates, Kak Hanis before she's back to Malaysia for good. It was just a small gathering at an Arabian restaurant. What I like about the restaurant is they give us the option whether to sit at the table or on the floor and the food were served in a tray. It's rarely found in the UK unless if we get involved with any events with the Malaysians. The food was nice but a bit pricey I guess.

That is Kak Hanis, the one with the glasses on. I adore her in a way that she has always come out with many brilliant ideas in the usrah. I love to listen to her points, particularly when she relates the content in the Quran with the reality in life.
Dunya and akhirah are not of two separate things, thus we've got to make them two balanced. That's how I define great people, those with great knowledge and balance between dunya and akhirah. I used to ask two separate person on how to have a great knowledge of akhirah and interestingly, they both gave me the same answers which are :
1. Referring Al-quran and sunnah
2. Attending 'majlis ilmu'
3. Other reading materials, books etc
4. Based on our experiences and others
No one was initially born as a smart cookie. It takes steps to reach to that point, right?
